After the storm

I finally downloaded the hurricane photos from the digital camera and here’s Dorothea without her aft deck roof:

Fortunately, we found the roof under the marina’s little work barge:

The radar antenna is upside down, under the water, with a busted housing. Not even Raytheon could create a radar antenna that could withstand the corrosion setting in after sitting in salt water for four days….
Dorothea actually looks pretty sporty without that 300 pound hunk of wood. We’re talking about a canvas bimini top, but it’ll likely be a while before the canvas people get to us.
Today it’s back to the writing (finally). At last, I’m done with all my boat chores to get her back to liveable, so it’s time to rock’n'roll!
