Getting back to normal
Sep 27th, 2005 by Sandra
We came back down to the lake on Sunday after checking the Houston Transtar freeway cams and got our first look at our Dorothea. She’d had her roof totally torn off, mahogany frame and all, and had taken on a little rainwater through a hatch we forgot to tape up. Other than that, she was fine. In fact, she looks pretty sporty without that hardtop and when we fired up her engines to move her to another slip, we discovered the hardtop had been acting as a resonator all this time and deafening us unnecessarily.
Yesterday and today have been spent putting her to rights. I’m taking advantage of this opportunity to do things like change the shelf paper and throw out a bunch of stuff I never use. I figure if I left it on the boat, assuming it would go down, I can throw it away now.
Perhaps tomorrow I can get back to my normal schedule. I hope so.
I’d also like the wet carpet to stop smelling quite so bad….But the Febreze is helping!
