Yesterday a strong wind blew out of the west all day long. It was like God flipped a switch around 5:30 and suddenly we were getting blown all over the place. Poor Dot looked doubtful most of the day — she hunkered down at one point and suffered some dry heaves from being seasick, bless her heart.
And when the wind blows out of the north or west for an entire day like that, it ends up blowing water out of the lake and Galveston Bay. Couple that effect with low tide and you’ve got what we got:

Yeah, we coulda used a stepladder to get on and off the boat, for sure. Here’s our neighbor’s boat, as seen from our salon. And yep, that’s the dock at the top of the screen.

I guess I get to pretend I’m limber and can climb trees like I used to.
