I've lived aboard for five years now, and while I don't languish in the splendor of an Obsession, my own 38-foot Bertram is quite a handful to maintain. She's a lovely thing, almost as old as I am, and prone to needing frequent washings... She also has a huge amount of mahogany trimwork that needs constant refreshing of either Cetol (the coaming) or varnish (the handrails).

You may be wondering what Obsession looks like. I modeled her after the original Obsession, a 70-foot Hatteras berthed in the Caribbean:
