DEAD RECKONING

When I started writing way back when, I was told to "write what you know." When I started writing romance, I decided to write about a woman on a boat. It seemed only natural since I lived on one.

Most of the information used in the novel comes from personal experience or informal talks with cruising couples, liveaboards, and engine mechanics, so I don't have a huge bibliography for DEAD RECKONING as I did for THE ORCHID HUNTER.

A fun quirk of the released book is that the biography is...someone else's! Alas, production errors do occur occasionally. The good news is, all the edits and corrections appear to have made it into the text. The real biography is listed below.

biography (the real one)

Sandra K. Moore has been a technical writer, poet, martial arts student, and software product manager, occasionally all at the same time. After earning her M.A. in English from the intensely literary University of Houston Graduate Creative Writing Program, she wandered through a variety of jobs until she happily embraced the fact she's a popular fiction writer at heart.

She lives on the Texas coast and when she's not writing action-adventure novels, she can be found varnishing, preparing to varnish, or thinking about varnishing the liveaboard motor yacht she shares with her handsome partner and a small gray cat.
